FAQ

1. TICKETS

Tickets for the Garden of Lights and the shuttle bus can only be purchased in advance at lichtergarten.at.

There is a box office on site, but it only sells remaining tickets with a €2 surcharge! On sold-out days or times, it is not guaranteed that you will receive a ticket on site. We recommend buying tickets in advance at lichtergarten.at!

Only card payment is possible at the box office.

No, bookings are not possible.

• Flex- Ticket: Einmaliger Zutritt am gebuchten Tag ab Betriebsstart bis spätestens 19:30 Uhr (Mo-Do) bzw. 19:30 Uhr (Fr-So, Ferien, Feiertage). Keine Bindung an einen Zeitslot
• Time slot ticket: Fixed time slot booked for the start of your visit
• Family ticket: Family tickets are valid every Monday and Thursday. Mondays and Thursdays during the vacations are excluded, as there are no family offers during this time! Family tickets include a maximum of 2 adults and 3 children. Please check the exact number of people when booking. It is not possible to book a second or third child at a later date!
• Free admission for children aged 0-5

Rebookings are excluded. Unless you have purchased the rebooking option with your tickets. Rebooking is possible up to 24 hours before your visit, later rebookings cannot be made.

If you have selected the rebooking option when purchasing your ticket, you can send us your new visit date at support@lichtergarten.at transmit.

Please note that rebooking is only possible to the same price category and subject to availability!

Cancellations are excluded.

Children from 0-5 years do not need a ticket.

Yes, Monday and Thursday (outside the vacations) is family day at Illumina, then 2 adults and up to 3 children visit the garden of lights for only 49€.

Yes, you can take your dog with you free of charge. The dog must always be kept on a lead.

Hunde sind auch im Shuttlebus erlaubt – unter der Voraussetzung, dass sie Leine und Maulkorb tragen und unter dem Sitz/auf dem Schoss/zwischen den Beinen (nicht im Mittelgang!) sitzen.

There are no discounts on the regular admission prices for these groups of people.

  • Laxenburg Card (service or citizen card): Free ticket on site on presentation of the card and an identity card.
  • Laxenburg Castle Annual Pass: 50% discount (only applies to annual pass holders) when purchasing tickets in the webshop. Codes are available from Schlosspark Laxenburg.
  • Lower Austria Card: No discounts; with the exception of time-limited discount campaigns, which are advertised on the Lower Austria Card website for the duration of the campaign.

No, there are no discounts on the regular admission prices for these groups of people.

Yes, there are disabled toilet facilities at Gastrozone 1 and in the Franzensburg.

Persons with disabilities can park directly in front of the entrance at car park 1 (Schlossplatz 1).

2. WEATHER

Yes, the Garden of Lights is open in all weathers. Should it nevertheless be closed, this will be indicated on the website. In such rare cases, tickets remain valid. You will be contacted by our helpdesk team (support@lichtergarten.at) and informed about the next steps.

3. PARKING

Yes, you can use car parks P1, P2 and P3, whereby P1 is reserved especially for people with disabilities.

P2:
• Münchendorferstraße 5, 2361 Laxenburg
• Approx. 8 min walk to the main entrance


P3:
• Münchendorferstraße 7a, 2361 Laxenburg
• Approx. 15 min. walk to the main entrance

4. ROUTE

The circular route is approx. 3 kilometres long. Depending on your walking speed, you will need approx. 1.5 - 2 hours.

Yes, there are benches on the circular route.
At the entrance/exit, as well as in Gastro Zone 1 and Gastro Zone 2 (Franzensburg).

The last admission is

Montag bis Donnerstag um 19:30 Uhr

Friday to Sunday, during vacations and on public holidays at 7:30 pm.

Park closes at 22:00.

5 GASTRO

Along the circular route you will find 2 catering areas where you can indulge in culinary delights.
Only cash is primarily accepted. Some food trucks also accept card payments.

6. SAFETY

The catering and toilet facilities are regularly cleaned and disinfected. USE PRE-SALE: Please buy your tickets in advance to avoid congestion at the box office. TRAINED STAFF: Our trained staff are available to answer your questions at any time.
